They all show:
Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site

Windows PCs attached fine at the same time as Linux/RPi PCs.

There are no Linux/RPi applications (yet).
I can't attach any Linux/AMD64 machine either, though there are applications for Linux/x86 and Linux/AMD64.

1 - Yes there are https://nci.boinc.goofyx.pl/apps.php I meant Linux or RPI (both linux) not a Linux OS running on RPI.
2 - An available app has nothing to do with being able to attach to a project

1 - You are using a shady notation explaining you efforts then. RPI can run e.g. Linux, Android or FreeBSD, so forming three different BOINC platforms (A Boinc platform is a combination of hardware architecture and OS).
2 - You must be bonkers trying to add systems that have no app waiting for them...Why not trying to add Loongson systems running Debian/MIPS64? RISC-V systems? Solaris? Take your pick.

A shady/incorrect notation would be an invalid OS/CPU combo, something that cannot work. Apps are set by OS and CPU type which I didn't do so the confusion is on you.
It's one click to select another client. A client with a good chance of it getting an app. There wasn't even linux earlier today. Now there is. Progress.

You used Linux/RPI, which is a OS/CPU combination (All RPI is ARM)

e.g. FreeBSD/ARM is what you need to get FreeBSD running on a Raspberry Pi, that is the standard notation.

Linux/AMD64 still can't attach -still gives error -184
Haven't tried LinuxARM-hf, Linux/ARM-sf, Linux/Aarch, Linux/x86, Linux/PPC64 or Linux/PowerPC yet...

It works for me with boinc 8.0.2 installed from here.

Multiple computers running Linux Mint 20.3. I have tried BOINC versions 7.16, 7.20.5, and 8.0.2, and all of them get the same error that everyone else has posted. The computers are able to authenticate and attach to the project, but cannot download the project files to completely attach and get work.

No problems connecting and getting work in Windows 10.

Yes, an update allowed it to attach completely. Thank you!

Hi all

Just for your information, I could create an account on the website, then I attached a debian host, and when asking tasks I would always have that message

399996	goofyxGrid@Home NCI	30 juin 2024, 17:44:27	Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
399997	goofyxGrid@Home NCI	30 juin 2024, 17:44:27	Invalid or missing account key. To fix, remove and add this project .
399998	goofyxGrid@Home NCI	30 juin 2024, 17:44:27	Project requested delay of 3600 seconds

I tried several times to detach / reattach, attaching was successful but the same issue happened when trying to get some work.

After discussing on l'AF forum and having a suggestion I had a look into account_nci.boinc.goofyx.pl.xml and I realized that <authenticator> tag didn't contain my key but my email, so I modified the xml manually and copied my project key into it, and then it worked and I could get some work.

Tasks are running smoothly it seems. It would be good to know that the project is about (see question in Science section of the forum), but it's working :)
